Yangsheng is the practice of nourishing life and the foundation of health in Chinese medicine.

The maintenance of health is a unique characteristic of Chinese medicine and its philosophy and culture. If you are mindful, and take responsibility for your health throughout your life, you are then working towards preservation of your well-being.

In order to practice this way of being, consideration is given to your mental health, physical fitness, relationships, seasonal changes, dietary choices, spending time in nature, while being conscious of your decisions and always evolving.

According to Sabine Wilms, it represents 7th century hermit Sun Simiao’s life’s work of cultivating Qi in balance with the microcosm and macrocosm, while prescribing less reckless behaviours in life and working towards preserving and nurturing your life.
